What MSEDCL charges a home, by how many units were used in the month. The energy rate climbs with each slab, so the last unit of a heavy month costs several times the first. Every card below names the order it was read from.

|---|---|
| 1 to 100 | 3.96 |

CONFIRMED against the order itself on 17-08-2026: MERC Case No. 75 of 2025, order dated 25 March 2026, Annexure II, 'Summary of LT Tariff for FY 2026-27, effective from 1 April, 2026' - every band, both fixed charges and the wheeling rate agree exactly, including the three-phase figure that had rested on one observed bill.

| 101 to 300 | 11.10 not yet seen on a bill |

Source Slabs above 300 units and the three-phase charge are from the MERC Order in Case No. 75 of 2025 dated 25 March 2026, Annexure II, 'Summary of LT Tariff for FY 2025-26, effective from 1 July, 2025' (page 93). Every figure in that table that a real bill also shows - Rs 130 fixed, Rs 430 three-phase, 4.28, 11.10, wheeling 1.47 - matches the bills exactly, so the two unseen slabs are taken from the same row with confidence.

Source Read off the rate card printed on the bill itself: consumer 170440331621, billing period 21 May to 21 Jun 2025, downloaded from the MSEDCL consumer portal. The printed card gives 4.71 / 10.29 / 14.55 / 16.64 / 16.64, fixed Rs 128 and wheeling Rs 1.17, and those figures reproduce that bill's energy charge, fixed charge and wheeling charge exactly. The same bill's small print states that new rates applied from 01.07.2025, which is where this version ends.

Source MERC Mid Term Review Order in Case 226 of 2022, Annexure I, LT I (B) Residential, rate schedule with effect from 1 April 2024: 4.71 / 10.29 / 14.55 / 16.64 per unit, wheeling Rs 1.17, fixed Rs 128 single phase and Rs 424 three phase. NOT A FRESH TRANSCRIPTION: these per-unit figures and the Rs 128 fixed charge are, to the paisa, the card already held for April to June 2025 - which is read off a real bill and reproduces it exactly. The FY2025-26 order arrived late, so those months were still billed on these rates. NO BILL FROM THIS YEAR HAS BEEN SEEN. The three-phase figure of Rs 424 differs from the Rs 430 in the April to June 2025 card and rests on the order alone.

Source MERC Mid Term Review Order in Case 226 of 2022, dated 31 March 2023, Annexure I, LT I (B) Residential, rate schedule with effect from 1 April 2023: 4.41 / 9.64 / 13.61 / 15.57 per unit, wheeling Rs 1.17, fixed Rs 116 single phase and Rs 385 three phase. Taken from MERC's own copy of the order and cross-checked against MSEDCL's published copy; Commercial Circular 342 of 10 July 2023, the corrigendum to that order, changes no residential figure (its energy-charge corrections are LT VII(B) Public Services only). CHECKED AGAINST PAPER: one real bill for May 2023 prints this exact card on itself, and with it every charge on that bill reconciles to the paisa. One bill, one connection, one month.
